This week i love....

Stripes!
I am loving stripes at the moment and I'm seriously lusting after this Prada lookalike from oasis £65. I will be making a purchase any day now and teaming with a great pair of heels. Here's Hailee Stenfield working the red carpet in some floor length Prada stripes.

Music to my ears!
My taste in music is very much like my style - varied. At the moment I'm obsessed with two very different albums. The first one i bought that wouldn't leave my CD player was Chase & Status No More Idols  the drum n base duo had me dancing round my room like a crazy person in no time! with collaborations on there with artists such as Dizzee Rascal, Tinie Tempah, Delilah, and Cee Lo green you wont want to skip a track! check out their latest release here

Adele 21 is a must have album and I'm sure there are few people that don't own it. The singer song writer's follow up to her debut album 19 doesn't fail to impress. Just like "rolling in the deep" i was singing along to the other tracks after only playing it a couple of times. The heartfelt songs and Adele's beautiful voice make for a stunning album and the current fixture in my CD player. here's Adele performing her latest single "set fire to the rain"

I'm a massive fan of  Beyonce! her music, style, Independence and girl power attitude! I went to see her in concert two years ago and she was amazing! i would without a doubt go and see her again. Beyonce recently took a year out to spend time with family and husband Jay Z so i was excited to hear her new single when she burst back onto the scene with run the world (girls) surprisingly i didn't like it straight away it was a grower but now i love the empowering song and can't wait to buy her new album. pre order here here's some photos from when i saw her in concert.

Floral fragrance
I am a girlie girl through and through i love anything floral so generally anything cath Kidston :) if you haven't been to a Cath Kidston shop yet i recommend you go it's a floral Paradise full of lots of pretty things. So I'm getting off the subject now what i really wanted to write about was after a sample in my magazine I'm lusting after the new fragrance Daisy by Marc Jacobs not only do i love the floral feminine smell it will also look beautiful on my dressing table. don't you think?

Yellow nails
Even though we seem to be getting April weather in June I'm not giving up hope! i have a feeling that very soon we will be seeing the sunshine so I'm sending positive summery thoughts and rocking some quirky yellow nail varnish! even if it's not bright outside doesn't mean we can't be right? and if Chanel named it the must do nail colour of the season who am i to argue?! Chanel's nail varnish's are great and long lasting for a cheaper alternative Barry M's has a great  selection of affordable  bright colours i think i may even go for clashing toes.

Wonder Serum
I'm eagerly anticipating trying the new Estee Lauder   Idealist even skin tone illuminator serum, it promises to significantly reduce the look of blotchiness, blemish marks, dark spots, and discolouration resulting in fresh and radiant skin. I am a self confessed beauty product junkie but have never tried a serum before so this will be my first. Anything that promises me beautiful skin I'm there! I'll let you know what i think.
Must Read!
I am currently reading The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest the final installment in the millennium trilogy by Stieg Larsson. The books in the trilogy are the first in crime genre that i have ever read and they are definitely amongst some of the best books i have discovered. The books are real page turners with Heroine Lisbeth Salnder among the compelling characters and with a gripping story line you wont want to put it down.

Style Stalker - Olivia Palermo

One person who's style i admire is fashion icon Olivia Palermo i first came to know who she was when she hit our screens with fellow fashionista Whitney Port in The City, another reality series i became addicted to! In the show she came across bitchy but always looked great! It's no secret how into fashion she is and always works her way around alot of the fashion shows during London Fashion Week. Olivia always looks effortlessly chic and whatever trend she decides to rock she makes the look her own by adding a quirky twist. She knows how to accessorize and that can make all the difference to an outfit. Olivia oozes confidence in everything she wears which is key to looking good, she's happy with her style choices and so she should be!
Here's Olivia working an androgynous tux at the new york premiere of midnight in Paris. She adds her signature quirky touch by accessorizing with some leopard print Charlotte Olympia heels serious shoe envy! these are going on my wish list! and a box clutch - you can't go wrong!

oh i nearly forgot to mention how a couple of years back I MET HER! :)  Me and some friends were in topshop in oxford street and recognized her we asked for a photo and she came across really sweet nothing like in the city! I don't particularly like myself in the pic but thought i had to share it anyway :)

Steps to a bikini-ready body

It's that time of year again were we all worry about getting into our bikini's! Over the winter we might neglect our bodies a bit as we keep them covered up then before we know it its summer! I'm looking forward to booking a holiday this year as i didn't go away last year so i can't wait to be lying on a beach in the sunshine!
So weather your planning on wearing a bikini or a one piece here's some steps to get you feeling prepared and confident to hit the beach or the pool!

1. Everyday before i shower i make sure i use a body brush like this one from the body shop to gently exfoliate the skin, remove dead skin cells and help stimulate blood circulation. I defo notice the difference if i forget to use it.

2. Twice a week i use a body scrub this Soap & Glory one is brilliant and leaves skin silky smooth (even banishes those pesky bumps from the backs of your arms!)and smelling fresh.
3. I dee-fuzz with a shaver like Gillette Venus Divine and use Gillette satin care sensitive shaving gel I'm not brave enough to go through the pain of waxing although I'm trying to pluck up the courage! in the mean time this shaver keeps my pins smooth and hair free!

4. I moisturise head to toe daily and at the moment I'm loving Nivea firming body lotion Q10 it smells gorgeous and leaves your skin feeling beautifully soft and radiant.

5. Lastly I always have Bio-Oil on my dressing table and about once a week let it soak into my legs, it leaves them looking shiny and over time reduces the appearance of any marks or scars you have. It's also great if you're having a relaxing bath to pop a few drops into the water it will leave your skin feeling super soft.

6.  Last but by no means least is the all important SPF this is probably the best beauty product you will find its simple effective and will keep skin looking young. The one I'll be using this summer is Nivea Sun protect and bronze  It's so important to protect your skin even if you do tan and don't burn as the suns UV rays are harmful and in the long run will damage your skin if you don't protect it. This isn't even a question for me as i have fair skin and don't really tan so i slather minimum factor 20 on and usually a 30 on my face. I also always use a face moisturiser with SPF in it.

Happy holidays! :)
