Bedroom Inspiration

I was really busy over the bank holiday weekend moving house so now I all I can seem to think about is decorating my new room! I have been obsessively browsing Pinterest for interior inspiration and as you can see from the beautiful rooms above there is a bit of a theme going on. I adore the neutral colours and sense of zen and calm these rooms give off. You can check out all my interior inspiration by following me on Pinterest

What do you think of these rooms?

Got that Autumn feeling?

As much has i hate to say it Autumn is well and truly in the air. This year is going so quickly i can't believe it's nearly September, our Summer is coming to an end although not sure you could actually use the word Summer to describe the weather we've been having here in the UK!
With a chill in the air and the evenings getting darker earlier it could only mean one thing.... Autumn/Winter collections!
Here are my lust haves for this season and must watch TV and movies!

I scoured the Internet for the cotton leopard print coat by Just Cavalli i saw in the recent Glamour magazine and fell in love with it but couldn't find it any where! It's part of the new A/W11 collection. This gorgeous coat is also part of the new collection and very similar to the one in glamour.
Here's the full collection.
/Alexander McQueen new season velvet union jack skull clutch £960.00 Harrods- one word amazing! wouldn't this complete any LBD? well a girl can dream can't she?

Super fierce heels named "Rihanna" after the equally fierce fashionista. Miss KG at  Kurt Geiger  £80.00 - affordable too!

Love these Chakra bracelets by Daisy jewellery  £86  "the role of the Chakras is to aid mental and physical alignment" their loved by celebs such as Sienna and even if you're not spiritual they look pretty!

The new ring upon ring concept by Pandora allows you to add you're own individual touch by picking which elegant style you want stack upon the next.

J'adore Chanel so I'm eager to purchase the new fragrance and give it pride of place on my dressing table. No19 is an eternal reference to the Birthday of Gabrielle Chanel: 19th August 1883 and consists of crisp green notes and powdery iris. Find all latest Chanel news here

I'm also excited for the eagerly anticipated new series of the X factor. The first episode aired on Saturday, which gave a few laughs and i look forward to seeing Tulisa and Kelly's outfits. I was loving Tulisa'a jumpsuit!
Another series that signals the end of summer is celeb BB which i also get addicted too, so I'm sure i will be watching.

The inbetweeners! Fans of the popular TV series will know this is a must-see! I'm going to see this Wednesday so will let you all know how it is if you haven't seen it already!

You can't beat a good love story and this is based on the bestselling book - which i haven't read but i have to now because i really want to see this movie.

The Scarecrow festival!

Today's post is a bit different from the usual fashion and beauty topics i write about i think i would put it in the lifestyle category and i have been thinking about adding a new lifestyle page to include things such as music, travel, books, and events. so keep checking back and let me know what you think when its up.
I didn't anticipate spending my Sunday afternoon walking round a little village called Overton with some friends looking at scarecrows but that's exactly what i did and i loved it! :) it took me back to being a child and reminded me of how children are impressed by the simplest things.
Every year the creative residents of Overton village enter the popular competition by creating their own life like scarecrows such as humpty dumpty and Bill and Ben the flower pot men. The impressive scarecrows fill the streets standing on pavements, perching on rooftops and peering out of shop windows.
All in all we had a random but very enjoyable day out in the cute little village of Overton. Then i came home to a roast dinner what better way to spend a Sunday?
here's some of the imaginative scarecrow creations.
I think they're great what do you think?

"there's no place like home"

This one's quite scary!
Wills!
and Kate!
Dennis the Menace!
Star Wars!

"humpty dumpty sat on a wall"

Think i may of gone slightly over board with the amount of scarecrow photos i posted! I just couldn't resist its hard to pick a favourite they're all so good! hope you enjoyed them as much as we did!
Also wanted to mention the fan page i created you can like it by clicking on this link  or clicking on the facebook like icon down the right hand side of this page! very much appreciated! :)

This week i love....

Stripes!
I am loving stripes at the moment and I'm seriously lusting after this Prada lookalike from oasis £65. I will be making a purchase any day now and teaming with a great pair of heels. Here's Hailee Stenfield working the red carpet in some floor length Prada stripes.

Music to my ears!
My taste in music is very much like my style - varied. At the moment I'm obsessed with two very different albums. The first one i bought that wouldn't leave my CD player was Chase & Status No More Idols  the drum n base duo had me dancing round my room like a crazy person in no time! with collaborations on there with artists such as Dizzee Rascal, Tinie Tempah, Delilah, and Cee Lo green you wont want to skip a track! check out their latest release here

Adele 21 is a must have album and I'm sure there are few people that don't own it. The singer song writer's follow up to her debut album 19 doesn't fail to impress. Just like "rolling in the deep" i was singing along to the other tracks after only playing it a couple of times. The heartfelt songs and Adele's beautiful voice make for a stunning album and the current fixture in my CD player. here's Adele performing her latest single "set fire to the rain"

I'm a massive fan of  Beyonce! her music, style, Independence and girl power attitude! I went to see her in concert two years ago and she was amazing! i would without a doubt go and see her again. Beyonce recently took a year out to spend time with family and husband Jay Z so i was excited to hear her new single when she burst back onto the scene with run the world (girls) surprisingly i didn't like it straight away it was a grower but now i love the empowering song and can't wait to buy her new album. pre order here here's some photos from when i saw her in concert.

Floral fragrance
I am a girlie girl through and through i love anything floral so generally anything cath Kidston :) if you haven't been to a Cath Kidston shop yet i recommend you go it's a floral Paradise full of lots of pretty things. So I'm getting off the subject now what i really wanted to write about was after a sample in my magazine I'm lusting after the new fragrance Daisy by Marc Jacobs not only do i love the floral feminine smell it will also look beautiful on my dressing table. don't you think?

Yellow nails
Even though we seem to be getting April weather in June I'm not giving up hope! i have a feeling that very soon we will be seeing the sunshine so I'm sending positive summery thoughts and rocking some quirky yellow nail varnish! even if it's not bright outside doesn't mean we can't be right? and if Chanel named it the must do nail colour of the season who am i to argue?! Chanel's nail varnish's are great and long lasting for a cheaper alternative Barry M's has a great  selection of affordable  bright colours i think i may even go for clashing toes.

Wonder Serum
I'm eagerly anticipating trying the new Estee Lauder   Idealist even skin tone illuminator serum, it promises to significantly reduce the look of blotchiness, blemish marks, dark spots, and discolouration resulting in fresh and radiant skin. I am a self confessed beauty product junkie but have never tried a serum before so this will be my first. Anything that promises me beautiful skin I'm there! I'll let you know what i think.
Must Read!
I am currently reading The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest the final installment in the millennium trilogy by Stieg Larsson. The books in the trilogy are the first in crime genre that i have ever read and they are definitely amongst some of the best books i have discovered. The books are real page turners with Heroine Lisbeth Salnder among the compelling characters and with a gripping story line you wont want to put it down.
